About our Tallow

Tallow is a holistic moisturizer, with historic roots. Our ancestors used tallow as a heat source, lighting, cooking, soaps, and lotions. While tallow products are making a comeback, they’re not new!

Tallow Products were the brainchild of Callie and niece Chelsie. Processing and selling beef direct to consumer produces many byproducts such as organ meats, bones, hide, and suet (fat). It is our goal to utilize as much of each animal as possible just like our ancestors did. In the spring of 2025, we began researching tallow as a moisturizer. This included rendering suet (kidney fat) at home for small batch testing. 

We worked closely with two estheticians to develop carrier oil blends that would soothe inflamed skin, reduce redness/irritation, minimize the signs of wrinkles and aging all while deeply moisturizing in a non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores). Essential oils are selected for additional soothing or healing properties and fragrancing.

Suet from our farm is rendered at a USDA/FDA inspected facility. Once rendered, we blend all tallow products in small batches with sustainably sourced oils.
